Ah, macros.. I remember that one macro that did a partial farm run i worked on once. That's probly one of the "bad" ways to use them though, isn't it? lol. Oh well, i'm still here and my account isn't dead yet.

JimmyNeutrons example would be legal according to the statement from ANet.
That doesn't mean they might not start banning people if it becomes widespread. That's the problem - programming keys grades into scripting grades into full-out botting, and anet can't set a clear line, meaning it's all decided by GM judgment call. |

I bought my BF a cool gaming keyboard i forogt what it is called lol He has a button called panic button which when pressed turns his character round and makes him run in the opposite direction...i personally find it hillarious xDDD
I think simple commands like that are fine but when it starts becoming complicated then you are starting to get lazy xDDD |

I purposedly died just to see how many deaths I can go before I need to change the delay from 0.025 to something like 0.0125. But after reaching energy level 50, I realize this could be classify as cheating and the illegal use of a macro and stop immediately. I didn't test this newly created macro on my survivor character since I didn't know if it would work and didn't want to die now after reaching survivor level 1. It was used on my primary character whom have no chance at survivor since level 5. To summarize, this could help make gaining survivor title even easier. Well, i deleted that macro and went back and played it like it should be played; skill and timing. |

I noticed this morning =] (thx anyway ^^ )
I also noticed that you can actually have a lot of mouse clicks in 1 second using those macro keys, gave me pretty low fps xD Anybody dares to put screenshot on a macro that keeps repeating without delay time ? |

Someone posted something about hero spiking, and i logged in just to test it out. A little tweaking with delays and I was able to make an almost clean hero spike with lightning orb on targets in isle of the nameless. I fraps'd it if anyone wants to see, but it will be until tomorrow when I post it, because right now I'm going to bed ^_^;; |

I HAVE RECIEVED Anet ANSWER REGARDING G15!
well..prompt and clear:
" Hello Alex, Thank you very much for contacting the PlayNC Customer Support Team. You asked if your new programmable keyboard was acceptable to use for playing Guild Wars. "What if...?" questions such as this are always tough to answer, because they have not happened yet. Nevertheless, I'll try to give you an understanding of what we might consider "right" and "wrong" when interacting with our service as it related to your new keyboard. Using your programmable keyboard as a normal keyboard would certainly be fine. A keyboard is a basic tool that is virtually required to operate a computer and use our service. Each time you press a key, one character is typed or one action is made to happen and, in general, that is acceptable. If you were somehow able to use your programmable keyboard to fully automate your gameplay experience, especially to the point where you did not have to attend your computer while your keyboard software "played" the game for you, then that would be considered against our User Agreement and subject to disciplinary action. ("You agree not to use any hardware or software, including but not limited to third party tools, or any other method of support which may in any way influence or advantage your use of the Service which is not authorized by NCsoft, including but not limited to the use of ???bots??? and/or any other method by which the Service may be played automatically without human input.") Somewhere in between those two scenarios is a grey area. We can't make any "final judgments" on any grey area actions that have not yet occurred, and we will not speculate on all possible grey area scenarios and their outcomes. In general, please make sure that you are at your computer and playing your game. Ultimately, it is of utmost important to us that each character being played in Guild Wars is being operated by an actual person. I know I wasn't able to provide a definitive rule that covered all possible scenarios, but I hope this helps your understanding of "helping one play" versus "playing for you" and what we would consider acceptable. Regards GM Greg" so..you can use complex bindings but not such scripts that fully automate your FARMING and/or battle (and guys bea seriousl...WE ALL KNOW WHAT IS THE BORDER BETWEEN BOTING and a little help from our cool hardware... there are no such innocent BINDINGS used that get u banned...and I can confirm that...and so can Greg...I tried to use an advanced almoast cheat binding and the game reacted- i got kicked out of the game and a screen that tested my presence at the keyboard appeared -the game has multiple ways to check for bots and exploits..so..I hope this clears things up) CONCLUSION: /dance /resign /point or C+CTRL+SPACE SURELY WILL NOT GET YOU BANNED...they are not stupid! but to boost your energy at an inhumanly rate (at the punch-out farm in GUNNARS HOLD, or to spam skills activation will get the GameMasters attention... and be sure that when you feel you've done something bad...you surely did screw up big time) Please excuse my long reply and my bold chars...but I have searched all over the internet for an answer and I hope this one jumps in one's eye... |

The thing is all the players must have the same advantage... if one has a cool keyboard because he can afford one doesn't have to put in misery a player that perhaps can't afford it but excels in skill. In my opinion (backed by alll the replies I collected from Anet support -FOR FLAMERS: YES I HAVE MORE THAN ONE ANSWER I CAN GLADLY SEND YOU PROOF) you can play the game and use a little "help" not let the SCRIPTS do the job and you just hover around. (maybe you can abuse the bindings in farm..since most of us are goldless, but remember abuse of any kind comes on your own responsibility) |
